KBEC recognizes that every patient is unique, and we seek to provide service based on each patient’s unique circumstances, in the safest and most compassionate way possible. Which is why we feature 4 full-time on-staff anesthesiologists, and friendly, experienced registered nurses and support staff to make sure every patient is properly cared for throughout the entire process.

KBEC was founded in 2004, and is run by physicians –for physicians and their patients– and has recently been designated as a Center of Excellence by The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the only Ambulatory Surgery Center in Manhattan to achieve this distinction.

We are a single-specialty NYS licensed Article 28 endoscopy center, featuring 18 physicians from 4 major institutions –New York University Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital Medical Center and St. Vincent’s Hospital– who are currently active members of KBEC.

KBEC is fully accredited by the New York State Department of Health as a freestanding ambulatory surgical care facility for endoscopic procedures.
