Hal J. Freiman, M.D. has been a member of Kips Bay Endoscopy Center since 2008 with expertise in Colon Cancer Screening, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease/GERD, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Colonoscopy, and Upper Endoscopy.

Dr. Freiman is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Gastroenterology Division at NYU Langone Medical Center. He specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases of the digestive system and has been extensively involved in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

In private practice for over 35 years, Dr. Freiman is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has numerous awards and citations over many years, including being listed in New York Magazine Top Doctors multiple times since 1998, America's Top Doctors from 2008 to the present, and Castle Connolly Top Doctors of New York from 1997 to the present. He has coauthored multiple publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Freiman graduated from Albany Medical College and went on to do his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York. He then completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at New York Medical College.
